Per Hosaka, “This is a house for couple and their two children. The site area is only 60 sq. meters. And I can make 30 sq. meter basement floor and two above-ground floor per 30 sq. meter on this site. So I designed that all floors curved near the window. Then natural light and air come into all floors.

Great architecture isn’t just art – it’s conscientious of what’s around it, no oblivious or spiteful. Situated in a modest exterior area surrounded by neighboring homes and buildings, the house takes advantage of vertical engineering, utilizing a 3 floors connected with an intricate spiraling staircase. The interior highlights a contemporary combination of light wood and steel, while ramped-edge flooring mimics the hillside landscape. Ejoy!
