Here’s a great little post. A new product and a deal. Don’t call it a two-for, as there’s a little bit of a wait (pre-order for November 19th). Amazon has released it’s Fire TV stick to compete with Roku and Chromecast. So what’s the scoop? It’s got a remote in two and if you’re a prime member you can grab them for only $19!
Fire TV Stick connects to your TV’s HDMI port. It’s an easy way to enjoy Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Hulu Plus, YouTube.com, music, and is Plex (score!) compatible for the home media center folk (like me). Amazon will be quick to point out that its faster and has way more storage than a Chromecast and comes with a dedicated remote. The early adopter prime discount is a sweet deal as well! Tack on a voice remote and a gaming controller and you’ve got a pretty simple setup that’s sure to take your Roku or Chromecast’s spot behind the TV.
But what do you think? Do you have one of these other items or would consider the $19 device?
