After briefly having its pre-orders sell out (um no – it was due to not being approved by the FCC), the Google-designed Nexus Player has received the official approval to move forward to the public. With that approval we’ll to see pre-orders begin again soon on Google Play.

However, the process of getting the Nexus Player into your hands and hooked up to your TV isn’t going to speed up any. Google originally quoted a November 3rd release date for the little media streamer that could, and we’ve seen no indication that that’s going to change once the device returns to pre-orders. For what it’s worth, the announced-at-the-same-time Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 are both still up for pre-order and projecting ship dates of “coming soon” and “2-3 weeks”, respectively.

Would you consider  a Nexus Player from the Google Play store for $99? Lemme know!
