I normally hit up HypeBeast for my weekly Essentials re-post. This week Uncrate presents a spread by Ledbury that appeals to me. Modern, slim cuts, well-appointed pieces, tan leather, and high-quality construction.
For Ledbury, it all started with a simple problem: finding a great-fitting shirt. After years in London, they developed a passion for the tailoring of Savile Row and the shirting of Jermyn Street. On trips back to the States, they became frustrated by the lack of offerings in menswear. Big-name men’s retailers sold “formless” clothes and luxury brands charged exorbitant prices. It seemed like there was a real need for a brand that focused on great fit and superb quality, all at an attainable price. These qualities don’t just speak to me, they yell.
So what do we have above? A Ledbury sport coat matched with a Hudson knit tie, Carter Alden shirt, and a merino v-neck sweater. Elden socks, Millington dress belt, and a pocket square make for great accessories. But that’s not all: an Il Bisonte Crono watch and Persol 649 Icon sunglasses should round things out (no pun intended). Peter Nappi Rocco Boot that match the belt and watch certainly don’t hurt, but they’ll cost you $695. Enjoy!
