Between official specs, leaks and regulatory filings, we seem to know just about everything about the forthcoming BlackBerry Passport. We have plenty of details on the camera alone: 13MP auto-focus, OIS (take that Apple!) 5-element f2.0 lens, LED flash, video stabilization, and 5x digital zoom and continuous focus. But apparently, in addition to upping the ante in every other category, apparently BlackBerry is bringing 4k video at 30 fps to the oddly shaped, but well equipped device.

Whether or not 4K recording on a smartphone is needed is a great question, but it’s becoming the norm so it’s a good sign to see BlackBerry is playing around with adding it. Assuming (I know it’s a big if) you’d want one of these bad boys, would the jacked up video cam make a difference? Let me know!
