Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Concept First Drive – Review – Car and Driver

If there’s been a void in your life because a four-door luxury Nissan GT-R didn’t exist, this article might bring you some hope. Either way, this is one beautiful car packing more than just a nice name and some nifty body work. You blushing yet?

Behold the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rough Concept, infused with GT-R internals like it’s twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V-6 packing 560-hp. In its current guise, the Eau Rouge is running the seven-speed torque-converter automatic from the V-8–powered Q70, along with the Q70’s all-wheel-drive system. The signature intake whoosh paired with brutal acceleration tells your brain it must be a GT-R.

But that exterior is really doing it for me! The large 255 tires on all four sides along with the custom wheels and GT-R brakes, the modified fenders, custom front end and rear spoiler are all turning this thing into a luxury beast with some serious performance looks. For now it’s truly a prototype, but what if? If you were in the market would you look in this direction instead of a E-class, 5-series or even Porsche?
