SwiftKey 5 goes free, adds number row, emoji and paid themes | Android Central

If you haven’t yet plunked over the $3.99 for Swiftkey – the extremely popular third-party keyboard for Android – you’ve been missing out. But now you can get the app for free, so hats off to you for being patient, I guess.

First and foremost, that great prediction engine and layout are now gratis. You’ll still be able to take advantage of SwiftKey Cloud, which syncs your predictions across any and all devices you hook into it. Plus, you can still have SwiftKey learn from your Google, Facebook or Twitter entries. So yea, nothing lost in the conversion. There are now a bunch more themes and theme packs – if you’ve previously paid for the app you can grab 10 for free. A dedicated numbers row is now an option and because it’s no longer paid, it won’t default back to the built-in keyboard upon update (yea, it happens from time to time on Android.) So enjoy!
