Brazil is not usually a list-toppers when it comes to desirable cars with global appeal. But that could change, especially with what you’re eyeballing above: This is a pre-production Ford Troller T4. It will not see U.S. soil. The T4 is Ford’s first all-new vehicle to come out of the Troller marque since it was purchased back in 2007, offering bare-bones utility in an especially striking package. If the initial image had you thinking Wrangler, FJ, Bronco or even Land Rover, you’re not crazy. It’s definitely a look.
Underneath the rough-and-tumble body lies as 3.2L diesel power plant mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Ford has been a bit vague on its offroad capabilities but the “4×4” badging and a solid front axle underneath should be more than capable and torque-ish. Troller has established itself over the years as the leading brand of off-roading in Brazil. I could care less – it looks great and reminds me of my old Wrangler with a much more modern twist.
