Without the proper context, most people would be completely clueless as to why Blackberry would re-launch an almost three year-old 9900, a BB7 phone and price it against it’s own Q10 running BB10 at $399.
The truth is die-hard Blackberry fans like the old hardware. Last quarter 3.4 million BlackBerry devices sold to end users, of which 2.3 million were BlackBerry 7 devices. The market likes the form-factor and internals on these devices, but it doesn’t explain why Waterloo isn’t pushing out products like the NEW Classic or Windermere (Q30). Even though we knew it was coming is anyone else curious about this move?
