Flappy Bird, the polarizing game of the first quarter of 2014, will be making a return later this year according to Dong Nguyen. During an interview with CNBC, Nguyen says that a new version of the game will be multi-player and “less addictive.”Allegedly, the game was originally taken down by Nguyen because of its addictive nature, though that led to reportedly large amounts of revenue from ads with Flappy Bird being played by tens of millions of people while it was still available.
So what do we know other than the above? Nada. As addictive as it may have been, the original wasn’t all that good looking or fun to play. Will multi-player mode really shake things up? Who cares!?
