When I happened upon this little lifesaver two things came to mind – 1) that’d be convenient and 2) that design sure looks familiar, but it’s not SOG. Well, the SOG Snarl Fixed Blade Knife was designed by Jason Brous (yea, THAT guy) as a “functional fantasy” Snarl knife that features a 9CR18MoV stainless steel blade. Think of it as a more consumer-ready version of the Silent Soldier line, but at a fraction of the price. It’s a brass knuckles/SOG mash-up.
The Brous series of knives have been designed in conjunction with Jason Brous, a 10-year CNC machinist and custom knife maker. Brous prefers to use stock removal and grinded bevels to create his ”functional fantasy” knife designs. SOG is proud to be collaborating with this up and coming knife designer to produce innovative products, like this 9CR18MoV stainless steel blade, with a molded hard nylon sheath for reversible belt carry or neck carry. The knife is only 4.3 inches overall (blade at 2.3″) and has an RC 58-60 hardness. It comes with a no-nonsense sheath and a neck-chain. The sheath has a great belt clip.
