There’s something very silky-sounding about an “Envelope Boat Shoe,” no? Doesn’t it just sound comfortable and classy at the same time? OK, well it does to me. A new collaboration between Tod’s and award-winning Japanese design studio Nendo has produced this set of shoes in a new take on Tod’s renowned deck shoe. Its name is derived from the way in which it wraps around the wearer’s foot. Pairing a soft leather vamp with suede quarter panels and a matching backstay, the release couples the specially-designed upper with a classic rubber sole and breathable mesh interior. Capping off the look is a distinctive fastening detail with a duo of matte silver studs. Luxury and all, it is entirely handmade in Italy and the perfect balance between the casual and elegant. Available soon in shades of blue, grey, brown, black and putty at Tod’s stockists across the globe. BOLO!
