We learned about a few things last week (at BUILD) with regard to Microsoft’s strategy and the future of their products and services. One part of that message was the release of Win8.1 Update 1 and the features that would be added (or more importantly brought back).
Designed with the desktop user in mind, the release offers a bunch of optimization features for those using the traditional keyboard-and-mouse set-up, and on a day that has seen official support cease for the 12-year-old Windows XP, the newly-updated edition of Windows 8.1 is now available to download. You can use Windows Update on your PC or you can download the image directly using the links provided at Redmond Pie, below.
