Well, if all the hustle and bustle around Waterloo’s woes got you thinking you wouldn’t be seeing any more product, think again. The Blackberry Z3 (code named: Jakarta) has not only been rendered and spec-ed out in this article, but in THIS one there multiple angle shots of an actual device. It’s safe to say it will be released shortly – possible at MWC next week.

BlackBerry CEO John Chen spoke during the company’s last conference call about the low cost device, built by Foxconn for emerging markets device, dubbed Jakarta. Now, N4BB posted some renders and specs of the Jakarta, as follows:

  • Display – 5″  display, 540 x 960 pixels, 24-bit color LCD display
  • Memory – 8 GB application storage and 1.5 GB RAM
  • Processor – 1.2 GHz dual-core processor
  • Battery – 2650 mAh non-removable battery
  • Rear-facing camera: 5 MP Autofocus and flash, 5x digital zoom
  • Front-facing camera: 1.1 MP Fixed-focus, 3x digital zoom

A Z3 at a $150 or even up to $200 price point could be pretty darn compelling, and a great deal given the rumored 5″ display and BIG battery…
